Karim Benzema is our GB sport Athlete of the week after an iconic performance over Chelsea. Benzema is highly regarded by many to be the best player in World football currently, and is easy to agree as he is on a rampant goal scoring season this year. Karim Benzema scored a hattrick of goals in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter finals against Chelsea showing that his veteran experience was to much for the London club. What makes Karim Benzema even more impressive is that he is performing like this in the twilight of his career where he should not be playing at this high level, and in the arguably worst Real side he has played in. Karim Benzema should be the front runner for this seasons Ballon d'Or ( Player of the year).
