1 - UEFA Champions League Final , 28th May 2022
Football is the biggest sport in the world, and there is no bigger competition in club football than the UEFA Champions League. Over the course of the last decade the UCL has delivered to be some of the most exciting and high level football we have ever seen. With the early exits in the competition of global superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo it will be interesting to see how things unfolds. With 4 teams left in the UCL it is still very much all to play for , with amazing team performances from Manchester City and Liverpool it is likely they are the two favorites to win the competition. To add to anticipation Real Madrid are never to count out, with a very inform Karim Benzema and 2018 Ballon d'Or winner Luca Modric, they could very much shock the world to win there 8th UCL. Lesser known Villareal are still a big obstacle for the UCL sides ,however, there minimal UCL knockout stages experience may be the difference in quality of the other sides. My predictions are Real Madrid to win the Tournament
2- UFC London , 23rd July 2022
UFC London is one of the highly anticipated Mixed Martial-Arts events of the year as it is a rare occasion that the UFC are in the United Kingdom, show casing some of the best fighters in the world including many of the United Kingdom. Prior UFC events have helped fighters such as Darren Till, Tom Aspinall, Paddy Pimblett and Paul Craig make names for themselves in the UFC. UFC London took place earlier this year and had has had the best crowd atmosphere for a fight night event i have ever seen, so it will be interesting to see how the reception is for a PPV event. Tom Aspinall looks to headline with Darren Till as the stars of the main and co main events, With Tom Aspinall fighting Curtis Blades and Tills opponent to be announced still. This is at the top of my watch list as a fight fan I am excited to see the return of Darren Till.
3- NBA playoffs Finals , 29th May 2022
The Nation Basketball Association playoffs Finals is the biggest event in world basketball, it has the highest level athletes in the world, its late drama and high pace basketball always leaves you wanting to watch more. This will be another very interesting tournament which can draw comparisons to the UCL as the biggest star in Basketball in LeBron James is not playing after the early exit from the Los Angles Lakers, similar to Messi and Ronaldo not playing in the champions League. The two biggest favorites to win the NBA are the reigning champions in the Milwaukee Bucks who have MVP Giannis Antentekoumpo and the Brooklynn Nets who have veteran and serial winners in Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and a young Ben Simmons. I feel the Nets will win as in my opinion they are the most well rounded side in the competition and have one of the most dominant scorers in Basketball history in Kevin Durant.
